No two days are the same, but every day has rhythm
At Curiosity's Child, we call our teachers Curiosity Curators — because that's exactly what they do. They don't stand at the front of a room and deliver lessons. They watch. They listen. They notice what lights a child up, and then they build an entire world around that spark.
One week, it might be dinosaurs. So suddenly there are fossils in the sensory table and we're mixing plaster of Paris to make our own excavation site. The next week, a child notices the moon is still visible in the morning sky and we spend three days talking about space. That's the magic of child-led learning. It's not random — it's deeply intentional. It just follows the child instead of a textbook.
No two days look exactly the same. Here's the gentle framework.
Children arrive into the Great Room, greet their friends, and settle into the morning.
Fresh, nourishing, and shared together at the table.
We gather. We talk about the day. Infants settle for their morning rest.
Provocations, explorations, art, building, music, stories, nature walks, sensory play, cooking, gardening — whatever the children's curiosity demands. Self-determined, teacher-supported, deeply joyful play.
Home-cooked and eaten together at the table.
Stories, then rest. The room dims. Bodies recharge. Dreams do their work. Each child has their own cot with a blanket and sheet chosen just for them.
Gentle re-entry into the afternoon.
Snack and free play — often outside if the weather agrees.
Come in, sit down, and hear about your child's day. Every moment is documented — through photographs, observations, and the children's own work. You won't have to wonder what happened. You'll see it.
Every corner has been placed with purpose
The heart of Curiosity's Child. A cosy reading nook with real books. An open music space where instruments are always within reach. A building area big enough for the towers that matter. The furniture moves. The shelves shift. This room can be reimagined in minutes.
Where we break bread together. Where infants rest in quiet comfort. Where the infamous closet-kitchenette produces the most wonderful baking sessions, playdough experiments, and cooking adventures. Food is love here.
Large, privacy-fenced, and equipped for all seasons. Sand, water, climbing, digging, running, hiding. This is where children get gloriously, beautifully dirty — and where some of the deepest learning happens.
The children plant seeds, pull weeds, watch things grow, and eat what they've harvested. We are blessed with two mature pear trees that provide a yearly harvest the children adore. There is no better science lesson than a tomato you grew yourself.
We are nestled between Raintree Park and Beavertrail Park, and we use them both. Weekly walks take us through quiet streets where we count house numbers, wave at neighbours, and notice how the trees change with the seasons.
We follow the 1000 Hours Outside challenge and we hope your family will join us. Everything we know about child development points to the same truth — children thrive in nature. When there are no walls to contain them, their play expands.
If there's one thing we'll promise you, it's this: your child will go outside every day that it is safe to do so. Rain, shine, snow, or wind. We gear up and we go.
Everything we know about child development points to the same truth — children thrive in nature. When there are no walls to contain them, their play expands. Their lungs fill. Their imaginations ignite.
Every meal is prepared fresh, served with care, and eaten together
We believe mealtimes are about more than nutrition — they're about community, conversation, and the simple pleasure of sharing good food with people you love. Our meals cover all five essential food groups and introduce children to a wide variety of flavours and textures.
A nourishing breakfast to start the day. Served at 9:00 AM.
Home-cooked from real ingredients. Eaten together at the table, family-style.
To power through to pick-up. Often baked with the children — measuring, mixing, tasting, and making a magnificent mess.
Milk or a milk alternative with breakfast and lunch. Fresh water, always available, all day long. Your family's special recipes are welcome here.
